Lake Wildwood painter, Allan Berman Chaparral Drive, has had his pastel artwork, “Midnight Lace,” chosen in Canada’s AIM for ARTS international juried exhibition.
In addition, his work was selected “Best in Show” at last week’s Nevada County fair.
He is one of 210 artists from around the world whose paintings have been selected to showcase in the upcoming exhibit celebrating artistic achievement.
Some $25,000 in cash will be awarded for first place — one of the largest visual art prizes ever offered in Canada.
AIM for ARTS will be open to the public from Sept. 1 to Oct. 6, at Federation Galleries on famous Granville Island, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
It promises to be Vancouver’s art show of the year in offering an unparalleled variety of international artwork by acclaimed and leading edge visual artists, sure to delight all comers — artists, collectors and the general public alike.
The exhibition is presented by the Federation of Canadian Artists in partnership with AIM Funds Management, Inc.
It is attracting 1,380 entries in all mediums from 933 artists in 33 countries.
